President and CEO, Veterans Expeditionary Media
Iglesias enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1995 and worked his way up to the rank of staff sergeant before attending film school at Temple University. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant, and attended requisite officer training before meeting his unit in combat. He deployed twice to Iraq as an infantry platoon commander with the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines. He then deployed for operations in the Pacific, before returning home to develop infantry training programs that have been implemented corps-wide. After 13 years of active duty, Iglesias joined the Reserves and currently holds the rank of major.
As an independent filmmaker, Iglesias has over 10 years of experience, from development through post-production. He has produced independent feature films, live music events, web series, commercials and graphic novels. His latest film, “CHOSIN,” a Korean War documentary, was released in theaters and will air on television. “CHOSIN” is being turned into a major feature film written by Academy Award-winner Frank Pierson.
Veterans Expeditionary Media is currently developing the official video game for the Marines. Three independent films and two graphic novels are forthcoming. The company is producing partner for the live broadcast of the 2011 New York City Veterans Day Parade. Iglesias is a member of the Producers Guild of America.
